Learning in Harmony Trust

About Us

 About Us

There are 12 schools in the Learning in Harmony Trust, including primary, special and early years settings, with sites across the cities of London and Southend.  The Trust was formed in 2014, and although our schools serve different communities, we are a highly collaborative organisation with a commitment to living by our shared values and a determination to make a positive difference in society.

The Learning in Harmony Trust was established as a multi-academy trust on 1st September 2014, taking responsibility from that point on for its member schools and being directly accountable to the Department for Education. Since then, the Trust has grown from a small group of schools, to include schools and settings in Newham, Islington and Southend. Despite operating in different geographical locations, our schools work collaboratively and being part of our Trust means a commitment to working in partnership.

This does not mean that all schools in our Trust have to be the same; we are proud to have both similarities and differences, and we see this diversity and each school’s unique characteristics as a strength. We are, however, bound together by our belief that, by working in partnership as one organisation, we can make a significant difference to the children and young people in our schools. We are committed to identifying and sharing good practice and being guided by research, to improve provision for all, and see ourselves as mutually accountable for each other’s schools. This means that we show a genuine commitment to supporting and challenging each other.

We are ambitious as a Trust, and we want to be big enough to do all the amazing things we want to achieve together, but small enough to still know each other very well. We are keen to extend our partnership further, with other schools and Trusts that share our values, so please get in touch if you are interested in working with us.
