Our Employee benefits

Our staff are our biggest asset and their welfare is instrumental to our continued success.   

We have a dedicated, trust-wide wellbeing working group, which is facilitated by an external nationally recognised partner from the Education Support Partnership. Projects to improve communication, better manage workload and improve staffrooms have all come out from discussions of this group, and it was their idea for us to create a dedicated wellbeing hub in our Google sites. There, staff can easily access all our memberships and perks, share tips on wellbeing, and access interesting material and events. All our staff also participate in the school-based Education Support Partnership's Positive Wellbeing Survey Programme, which gives us an independent insight into how staff are feeling about their workplace.

Fair pay and conditions

We are committed to ensuring that staff have pay and conditions that are at least as good as those in neighbouring maintained schools. This work is carried out with a Joint Consultative Group that has been established between the Trust and national and local Trade Unions (for both teaching and support staff). 

Staff development and CPD

We make significant investments in staff development and CPD. As well as financing masters programmes and giving the opportunity for staff from all schools to participate in a range of leadership development programmes (see Careers section), we subscribe to a number of resources that all staff can access including Optimus Education and Teaching Times. Additionally, teaching staff can make use of our bespoke self-evaluation platform that clearly sets out expectations for leadership positions from Early Leader to Executive Headship.

Non-contractual benefits scheme

All staff on payroll have access to a variety of non-contractual benefits. These currently include:

  • Enjoy Benefits are our partner for some of the salary-sacrifice schemes we offer, including a cycle to work scheme and annual gym membership. We also offer child-care vouchers and travelcard season ticket loans.
